FIVE BY TEN
Oil on matboard, clear plastic, white rope
A 10 day exercise of making at least 5 paintings a day on 4"x4" sheets of gessoed mat board. I spent the series focusing on juxtaposing impasto techniques with heavily thinned paint to create compositions that suggest a subject immersed in a rich sense of space and atmosphere. These concepts are mirrored in the airy nature of the installation. Immediate making was critical to the piece.
